Effective date: 6 August 2026 App: GotGot (iOS & Android) Developer: Vane
GotGot does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
To do its job, the app saves the following locally on your device, in its own private storage:
This information never leaves your device. It is not uploaded anywhere, and we cannot see it. It is not linked to your identity, because the app never asks who you are.
The app uses your device camera only to scan a swapping partner’s QR code, and only when you open the scanner. Camera images are processed on your device to read the QR code and are not stored, saved to your photo library, or transmitted anywhere. You can decline the camera permission and still use every other part of the app; you simply won’t be able to scan a partner’s code with the camera.
Optional collection blueprints can be purchased inside the app. All payments are handled by the app store you installed from — the App Store (Apple) on iOS or Google Play on Android. The app never sees or stores your card, billing address, or any payment details. Your purchase is governed by that store’s terms — Apple’s Apple Media Services Terms and Privacy Policy, or Google Play’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy. We only receive from the store a yes/no signal about whether a blueprint has been purchased, which is used solely to unlock that content on your device.
None. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with anyone, because we do not collect any.
Because all data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it:
There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, because we hold none of your data.
GotGot is suitable for children and is designed with them in mind. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). There are no ads, no data collection, and no communication features that send information off the device. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, where a parent or guardian can manage spending controls.
Under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and similar laws, you have rights over your personal data. Because GotGot processes no personal data about you, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or erase. If you have any questions about this, contact us below.
If the app’s data practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app’s App Store and Google Play listings.
